He studied Musicology at the University of Nice, studied singing with teacher Christiane Patard and graduated from the Paris Conservatory in 2003. He was awarded the title of “Révélation Classique” from the ADAMI in 2007.
Praised for his qualities in the baroque repertoire, he took part in Hippolyte et Aricie(Glyndebourne Festival), he sang the title-role in Pygmalion (Houston, Dallas, and recorded the piece in New York), he took part in King Arthur (Montpellier, Versailles, Besançon), The Indian Queen(Schwetzingen), Il Ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria (Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Dijon) L’Incoronazione di Poppea (Teatro Real in Madrid, Salle Pleyel in Paris, Lille, Dijon), La Didone by Cavalli (Caen, Luxembourg, and Théâtre des Champs-Elysées), L’Orfeo, La Calisto and Les Indes Galantes (Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich), Le Temple de la Gloire by Rameau (Liege and Versailles), Les Boréades (Dijon), Le Carnaval de Venise by Campra (Budapest) and the title-roles in Platée (Japan), Dardanus (Versailles), Persée (Metz, Paris, Versailles), Phaëton (Perm and Versailles) and Don Quichotte chez la Duchesse by Boismortier (Versailles).
In the French light-music repertoire, he sang Aristée / Pluton from Orphée aux Enfers (Aix-en-Provence Festival, Lausanne, Toulon, Dijon, Nancy, Angers, Nantes), Le Brésilien from La Vie Parisienne (Bordeaux), Piquillo / Don Pedro from La Périchole (Dijon, Lille, Nantes, Rennes, Angers), Lorenzo from Fra Diavolo (Compiègne), Oreste from La Belle Hélène and Camille de Coutançon from The Merry Widow (Montpellier), Le Dilettante d’Avignon by Halévy, the title-role in Offenbach’s Barbe-Bleue (Angers, Nantes) and Médor in Les Chevaliers de la Table Ronde by Hervé (Paris and on tour).
His repertoire also includes Italian bel-canto roles such as Ernesto from Don Pasquale (Lisbon), Elvino from La Sonnambula (Bolshoï in Moscow), Almaviva from Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Saint-Céré), Ramiro from La Cenerentola (Gut-Immling), and the title-role of Le Comte Ory (Rennes, Rouen).
In the 20th century and contemporary repertoire, he sang the title-role in Der Zwerg by Zemlinsky (Lille and Rennes), L'Amour Coupable by Thierry Pécou (Rouen), Les Caprices de Marianne by Henri Sauguet (Compiègne), and the role of Fando in the world premiere of Fando et Lis by Benoît Menut (Saint-Etienne).
In the past few seasons, he was heard in the title-role of Orlando Paladino by Haydn (Munich), the title-role of Cinq-Mars by Gounod (Munich and Leipzig), the title-role of Faust by Gounod (Versailles), Orphée from Orphée et Eurydice (Japan), The Teapot / The Little Old Man / The Frogfrom L'Enfant et les Sortilèges (Monte-Carlo, Matsumoto Festival in Japan, Berliner Philharmoniker), Torquemada from L’Heure Espagnole (Munich), L'Aumônier from Dialogues des Carmélites (Angers, Nantes), Pedrillo from Die Entführung aus dem Serail (Saint-Etienne, Rennes and Gut-Immling), Le Remendado from Carmen (Aix-en-Provence Festival), Monostatos from Die Zauberflöte (Paris Opera), The Four Servants from Les Contes d'Hoffmann (Bremen and Baden-Baden).
He was heard with many orchestras and orchestral ensembles (Les Musiciens du Louvre, Les Talens Lyriques, Pulcinella, Amarillis, L’Arpeggiata, Le Genève Baroque, Le Palais Royal, Le Poème Harmonique, La Cappella Mediterranea, Les Ombres, Les Nouveaux Caractères, La Belle Saison...) and regularly sings concerts with the Palazzetto Bru-Zane in Venezia as well as with the Versailles Baroque Music Centre.
His engagements for season 2019-2020: Les Indes Galantes at the Paris Opera, Le Nozze di Figaro and L'Incoronazione di Poppea at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, Tamino from Die Zauberflöte in Avignon and Versailles, Les Boréades in Vienna, Versailles and Moscow, the title-role in Platée in Toulouse and Versailles, the title-role in Orlando Paladino in Munich, as well as many concerts.
